Beijer Ref Acquires Spanish AC Manufacturer GIA
SPAIN: Swedish wholesaler Beijer Ref is set to acquire a majority stake in GIA Group, a leading air conditioning supplier in Spain. Beijer Ref has agreed to purchase 75% of the company's shares, with an option to acquire the remaining shares in the future. Established in 2000 and based in Barcelona, GIA Group is a major distributor in Spain, known for its HTW and Giatsu brands. It has a strong presence in Portugal, Italy, France, and other countries. In 2023, GIA Group achieved a turnover of over US$104 million and ranks as the fifth-largest air conditioning company in Spain.
