UK: A Kent-based heating company has completed its first installation of a Baxi air source heat pump (ASHP) at the home of its owner, marking the beginning of its expansion into renewable heating solutions, with support from Baxi.
Harvard Heating has worked with Baxi for over 13 years on boiler installations, and when owner Bo Lindeman chose to diversify into low-carbon technologies under a new venture, Harvard Renewables, Baxi was the natural partner. Just a few months later, the company successfully fitted its first ASHP at Bo’s 1930s semi-detached home in Belvedere. The system includes the Baxi HP40-11-1, a monobloc unit praised for its efficiency and straightforward installation, paired with a Baxi 210-litre ASHP cylinder. The installation was carried out by Harvard Renewables’ co-founder and co-director Bill Taylor, a Gas Safe engineer with a decade of experience, who completed his first ASHP project through this milestone installation.
