Bangladesh: The ceramics industry faces potential loss of export orders totaling approximately $8 million due to five days of factory shutdowns, according to Irfan Uddin, secretary of the Bangladesh Ceramic Manufacturers and Exporters Association. He emphasized the importance of maintaining regular communication with foreign buyers, which has been hindered by the ongoing internet blackout. Concerns are mounting as scheduled shipments have been delayed over the past five days, impacting the industry's reputation and potentially leading to order cancellations. The industry's overall turnover per month is around US$85 million. The industry has incurred losses amounting to approximately $12.7 million during this period.
