Russia: The average cost of air conditioners in Russia increased by 10–15% over the past year, according to Daniil Friedman, head of the Electrical Goods category at Lemana Pro. As of April 2025, basic models cost between 20,000 and 35,000 rubles (USD 220– USD 385), while premium models reached up to 60,000 rubles (around USD 660). Friedman attributed the price hike to several factors, including currency fluctuations, inflation, and increased logistics expenses, which have disrupted supply and raised overall product costs.
Dmitry Ozhegov, director of the Air Conditioning Systems division at Rusklimat Holding, noted that the average retail price of a classic start-stop air conditioner rose by about 4%, from 26,000 rubles (USD 286) to 27,000 rubles (USD 297). Inverter air conditioners experienced a steeper increase of 8.5%, rising from 35,000 rubles (USD 385) to 38,000 rubles (USD 418). Ozhegov emphasized that this price rise occurred despite the strengthening of the ruble, due to a hike in the key interest rate.
