70% in Japan Considering Lowering Heat Pump Use in Winter due to High Electricity Bills
According to a recent poll conducted by Daikin Industries Ltd., producer of air conditioning units, over 70% of individuals residing in Japan are contemplating the reduction of heat pump usage during the winter season. This inclination is mostly driven by the escalating costs of electricity. A significant proportion of respondents, up to 76%, indicated a lack of awareness regarding the potential energy-saving benefits associated with reducing the temperature setting by a mere 1 degree Celsius.
