Vinci Set to Acquire German HVAC-R Specialist Zimmer & Hälbig

GERMANY: Vinci, a global leader in concessions, energy solutions, and construction, has announced that its subsidiary, Vinci Energies, has reached an agreement to acquire Zimmer & Hälbig, a prominent German company.
Headquartered in Bielefeld, North Rhine-Westphalia, Zimmer & Hälbig specializes in the design, engineering, installation, and maintenance of complex HVAC-R (heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration) systems. The company has a strong presence in critical sectors such as hospitals, laboratories, industrial facilities, clean rooms, and data centers.
Established in 1974, Zimmer & Hälbig generated €96 million (US$110 million) in revenue in 2024 and operates across seven locations in Germany, Bielefeld, Hanau, Hannover, Köln, Leipzig, Osnabrück, and Tuttlingen, with a workforce of 310 employees.
Vinci Energies stated that the acquisition is subject to approval by German competition authorities. Upon approval, Zimmer & Hälbig will join Vinci Energies Building Solutions’ network of 150 business units in Germany, enhancing its portfolio of multi-technical building solutions and expanding its service offerings to clients.
