Vietnam: The Ministry of Construction, in coordination with the Vietnam Association of Realtors (VARS), is developing a pilot scheme for a State-managed real estate trading centre aimed at improving transparency in the property market. According to Tống Thị Hồng Hạnh, Director of the Housing and Real Estate Market Management Department, the centre will be supervised by State agencies and will handle tasks such as verifying project legitimacy, connecting public data sources, and streamlining property transactions.
Software development for the initiative is in progress, with a pilot launch expected later this year. The move comes amid concerns over surging housing prices in cities like Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, where speculation, rising costs, and legal obstacles continue to affect market stability.
