Vaillant Group Establishes New Factory in Remscheid
GERMANY: The Vaillant Group, a heating technology specialist headquartered in Remscheid, has inaugurated a new factory for electronic component production at its Remscheid headquarters. The facility officially began operations on November 20, 2024, with an opening ceremony attended by Hendrik Wüst, Minister-President of North Rhine-Westphalia, Burkhard Mast-Weisz, Lord Mayor of Remscheid, and members of the Vaillant Group management board.
This new electronics production plant plays a critical role in the company’s global production network, supplying all Vaillant Group locations with essential components for operating and controlling modern heat pump systems and gas heating appliances. With an initial annual production capacity of approximately 5 million electronic components—scalable to meet future demand—the facility addresses the rising need for electronic components driven by the strategic expansion of the heat pump business.
Built in under two years, the factory is strategically situated near the company’s headquarters, research and development center, and parent plant in Remscheid. Spanning 12,000 square meters, the facility integrates sustainable features, including a photovoltaic system for electricity generation and an innovative heat pump system for heating and cooling, enabling it to operate almost entirely on renewable energy. At launch, the plant will employ approximately 150 skilled workers, providing the Vaillant Group with long-term, flexible in-house production capacity to adapt to evolving market demands.
