US Economy Soars in Q2 with Easing Inflation
US: The US economy grew at an annualized pace of 2.8% in the second quarter, surpassing the 2% growth expected by economists. This is a significant increase from the revised 1.4% growth in the first quarter. The "core" Personal Consumption Expenditures index, which excludes food and energy, rose by 2.9% in the second quarter, above the estimated 2.7% but down from the previous quarter's 3.7%.
