Ukrainian Government Lifts Air Conditioner Ban on Public Institutions

Ukraine: The government has cancelled recommendations to limit the use of air conditioning and outdoor lighting in public institutions, moving the deadline for these restrictions from December 31 to September 30, 2024. According to Cabinet of Ministers, the restrictions applied to government agencies, public authorities, and outdoor lighting around buildings. The decree also withdraws recommendations for local governments to restrict lighting on roads, parks, and public spaces. These measures were initially put in place to conserve energy but have now been rolled back ahead of schedule.
