UK Economy Expected to Recover and Strengthen in 2024
UK: The UK economy is on track for a gentle landing, with growth forecast to resume in 2024 and strengthen in 2025, according to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), which just completed discussions with the Kingdom on its 2024 Article IV Consultation. Growth was 0.6% quarter on quarter (QoQ) in the first quarter (Q1) of this year, indicating a stronger-than-expected escape from the technical recession in the second half of last year, with full-year growth at 0.1%.
