UAE-EAEU Trade Pact Targets USD 50bn Annual Trade by 2032

UAE: The UAE-Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) Economic Partnership Agreement has entered into force, granting preferential access across more than 86% of tariff lines covering around 96% of the value of current goods trade between the UAE and Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia, with the deal targeting nearly USD 50bn in annual trade by 2032. The agreement, signed on June 27, 2025, reduces or eliminates customs duties and introduces rules covering customs cooperation, e-commerce, economic cooperation and SME participation in international trade. UAE-EAEU non-oil trade reached USD 33.6bn in 2025, up 16% from USD 29bn in 2024 and more than four times its 2021 value, while EAEU imports stood at USD 17.8bn and re-exports at USD 13.7bn. In H1 2026, bilateral non-oil trade increased 6.2% year-on-year to USD 14.3bn, with the agreement providing UAE exporters preferential access to the EAEU market and EAEU producers a gateway to the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
