Turkmenistan Inaugurates Bäherden Ceramic Factory: A Major Boost to Local Manufacturing

TURKMENISTAN: Turkmenistan's President, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, attended the inauguration of the Bäherden ceramic products factory in the Baherden district of Ahal velayat, according to the country's official media.

The newly established production complex houses facilities for manufacturing ceramic tiles and sanitary ware, along with repair workshops, administrative offices, and residential accommodations. Equipped with advanced machinery from leading manufacturers in Italy, Germany, and Türkiye, the factory has generated over 450 jobs.

Spanning 30 hectares, the facility is set to produce 3.3 million square meters of tiles and 120,000 sanitary ware units annually. Representatives of Italian firms highlighted that the factory’s equipment adheres to international standards for quality, safety, and environmental sustainability. Additionally, more than 93% of the raw materials used will be sourced locally.

During the ceremony, Serdar Berdimuhamedov inspected the factory’s products and officially inaugurated its operations. Concluding the event, the President presented the factory management with keys to new equipment.
