TOTO to Expand Presence in India's Tier-II and Tier-III Cities
India: Japanese sanitaryware manufacturer TOTO is focusing on expanding its presence in India's Tier-II and Tier-III cities to capitalize on the opportunities presented by increasing urbanization, rising disposable incomes, and growing awareness of hygiene and wellness. TOTO India, celebrating a decade of production at its Halol plant in Gujarat, plans to enhance its distribution network by adding 40 new channel partners in 2024. "India is a strategic market for TOTO, and we are excited about its immense growth potential," stated Shiozawa Kazuyuki, Managing Director of TOTO India Industries Pvt Ltd. The company aims to strengthen its presence in smaller cities by expanding its dealer network and introducing a wider range of products to meet diverse consumer preferences. TOTO India will also launch new collections of toilets, basins, faucets, and showers tailored to the evolving tastes of Indian consumers.
