Opens New Manufacturing Facility

USA: Toto, the Japanese plumbing manufacturer, has opened a new manufacturing facility in Morrow, Georgia, located around 10 miles south of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The facility, built at a cost of USD 224 million, is designed to produce high-end one-piece toilets using advanced manufacturing technology. The site features automated robots, new kilns, self-guided vehicles, and the company’s first tank-bonding robot. Toto already operates another facility in the Sylvan Hills area of south Atlanta.

The new plant increases Toto’s production capacity by approximately 300,000 units annually. The expansion forms part of the company’s strategy to move a greater share of production from Asia to North America, strengthening supply chains within the region and supporting its long-term sustainability goals. Toto, which reports annual sales of USD 5.34 billion, manufactures toilets, bidets, faucets, and other bathroom products and is regarded as one of the largest plumbing manufacturers worldwide.
