USA: The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced a recall of three kitchen faucet models sold on Amazon after tests revealed lead levels that pose serious health risks, especially to infants and young children.

The recall affects over 100,000 units of BASDEHEN, KICIMPRO, and VFAUOSIT kitchen faucets, which were manufactured by Chinese companies and sold on Amazon.com between January 2024 and May 2025, priced between $30 and $40. This action follows a May 16 warning issued by the CPSC regarding nine other faucet models from Chinese manufacturers that declined to initiate voluntary recalls.

According to the CPSC, exposure to lead can lead to severe neurological damage in infants and young children, potentially resulting in attention disorders, reduced cognitive abilities, and lower IQ levels. In addition to lead, the recalled faucets were also found to release other harmful contaminants into the water.
