Mitsubishi Electric Corporation and HACARUS Corporation have announced their agreement to enhance their partnership in the advancement of artificial intelligence (AI)-driven visual-inspection technologies for the industrial industry. Mitsubishi Electric will acquire a share of ownership in HACARUS as a part of the arrangement.
The strategic alliance will utilise the resources and technology of both firms to enhance synergies with the goal of maximising joint technological and business potential. Mitsubishi Electric aims to expedite the development and delivery of AI-driven visual inspection solutions by utilising HACARUS' expertise. These solutions will enhance production quality and overall productivity for clients. The relationship with Mitsubishi Electric will provide HACARUS the opportunity to utilise Mitsubishi Electric's vast sales network in both Japan and international markets. HACARUS Check is a visual inspection solution that incorporates a distinctive and compact artificial intelligence system. HACARUS specialises not only in AI development but also in the integration of AI with a range of factory automation (FA) technologies. In December 2023, Mitsubishi Electric introduced MELSOFT VIXIO, a visual-inspection software powered by AI and integrated with the company's exclusive Maisart AI technology. This software aims to automate visual-inspection procedures, enhance manufacturing quality, and tackle the issue of Japan's declining workforce.
