TECE Announces New Production Plant in Croatia, Plans to Close Wuppertal Facility
Croatia: The TECE Group is planning to build a new production site in Novska, Croatia, with construction starting in 2024. The purchase agreement for a 100,000 m² plot of land was signed in March this year. With an investment of around 25 million euros, the new plant will focus on metal processing, plastics technology, and assembly for drainage technology products. Operations are scheduled to start gradually from spring 2026.
The Croatia location is strategically important for serving the Adriatic region and neighboring countries, as well as expanding TECE's technological platform through flexible production technology. Concurrently, a new administration and logistics building is being built in Zagreb.
In conjunction with the Novska plant construction, TECE plans to close the Wuppertaler Edelstahltechnik (WET) production site in Wuppertal by 2027, integrating it into the new Croatian plant. Currently, around 70 employees work at the Wuppertal site and have been informed about the plans. There will be no major changes at Tece's headquarters in Emsdetten.
