TCL Opens Guangzhou Facility to Expand Air Conditioning Production

China: TCL has inaugurated a new smart manufacturing base in Guangzhou as part of its expansion in air conditioning production. The facility supports the company’s growing global operations, with products sold across more than 160 countries and regions. The development follows the company reaching a cumulative production milestone of 100 million air conditioning units within five years, reflecting increased demand for cooling solutions in international markets.
The Guangzhou facility is designed with an annual production capacity of 8 million units and is expected to generate output of approximately CNY 3,000 million (USD 420 million, EUR 390 million) in 2026, with projections to exceed CNY 10,000 million (USD 1,400 million, EUR 1,300 million) over five years. The site incorporates automated production systems capable of manufacturing one unit every seven seconds, supported by robotics and digital processes aimed at improving efficiency and consistency in production.
