Egypt: Talabat mart, the grocery and retail division of talabat Egypt, has established a new distribution centre at the YANMU East Logistics Park on the Cairo–Suez Road. The facility, covering 22,405 square metres, is described as the largest of its kind in the quick commerce sector within the region. Developed by Hassan Allam Utilities, A.P. Moller Capital, and Agility, the logistics hub is EDGE-certified and designed to support sustainable and modern infrastructure for talabat’s operations in Egypt and neighbouring markets.
The centre is equipped with advanced technologies including product picking towers, radio shuttle systems, and selective racking systems aimed at improving storage and retrieval processes. It has the capacity to distribute up to 1.6 million items per day and over 48 million items each month to dark stores, which are projected to exceed 60 locations by the end of 2025. The facility is intended to support increasing demand and streamline supply operations across the company’s growing network.
