Systemair to Discontinue Production at Waalwijk Facility in the Netherlands
Netherlands: Systemair intends to discontinue production at its Waalwijk facility, affecting approximately 70 employees, with the phase-out expected to be completed in early 2027, subject to employee consultations. The company plans to supply the Dutch market from other European manufacturing units while retaining sales, service, logistics, technical support and product development activities in the Netherlands. The restructuring is expected to incur a one-time charge of approximately SEK 115 million (USD 11.5 million), while a later real-estate divestment could generate a capital gain of around SEK 40 million (USD 4.0 million). Once fully implemented, the restructuring is expected to generate annual cost savings of approximately SEK 35 million (USD 3.5 million) and improve efficiency, capacity utilisation and profitability across its European operations.
