USA: SPX Technologies has completed the acquisition of Crawford United Corporation, a Cleveland-based holding company focused on engineered air handling and industrial products. The deal is valued at approximately 300 million US dollars and includes a cash payment of around 83.86 US dollars per share for holders of both Class A and Class B common stock, subject to adjustments for debt and transaction expenses.
As part of the acquisition, Crawford United’s Commercial Air-Handling Equipment segment comprising Air Enterprises and Rahn Industries will be integrated into SPX’s HVAC division. This move is expected to expand SPX’s capabilities in custom air handling systems and coil technologies. Meanwhile, Crawford United’s Industrial and Transportation Products segment, which operates in aerospace, defence, transportation, and marine markets, does not align with SPX’s strategic priorities. These operations are being classified as assets held for sale and will be reported as discontinued while SPX explores divestment options. The financial impact of the acquisition is set to be reflected in SPX’s 2026 guidance, to be released with its fourth quarter 2025 results on 24 February 2026.
