Netherlands: SPIE acquires Voets & Donkers Koeltechniek B.V. and VND Technical Services B.V. This acquisition strengthens SPIE’s expertise in industrial cooling installations, air treatment systems, heat pumps, industrial automation, and process equipment engineering. Founded in 1963, Voets & Donkers employs 69 permanent staff across Schijndel and Drachten and achieved a turnover of USD 30 million in 2024. The company, a specialist in cooling and air treatment systems, serves clients in sectors such as dairy and food processing, horticulture, pharmaceuticals, warehousing and high-tech machinery.
The acquisition supports SPIE’s strategic growth ambitions in the industrial market, particularly in food and pharma, while enhancing visibility in refrigeration, freezing technology, industrial heat pumps and HVAC. It also expands SPIE’s capacity in line with ongoing industrial HVAC projects. With SPIE’s scale and expertise, the combined strengths will further improve services and enable a stronger response to industry developments. This step reinforces SPIE’s commitment to innovation and sustainable technology in specialised industrial services.
