Sorento Capital Unveils Dual Growth Strategy to Expand Market Presence

MALAYSIA: Malaysian sanitary ware distributor is pursuing a two-pronged growth strategy to widen its market reach. The first approach targets the hardware retail segment with the launch of the Sorento Lite series, an economical range of replacement plumbing fittings sold through hardware stores. The initiative aims to leverage Malaysia’s 10,000+ hardware outlets, generating recurring demand from wear-and-tear products while complementing Sorento’s traditional dealer network.
Simultaneously, Sorento is elevating its brand through the premium Sorento Serene line, showcased in a 10,000‑sq‑ft showroom in Johor Bahru. The strategy focuses on design, superior finishes, and high-quality customer service. The company is also investing RM20 million in a smart warehouse and AI-driven digital tools to enhance logistics and customer support. With revenue rising from RM66 million (US$ 16.6 million) in FY2021 to RM180 million (US$ 45.2 million) in FY2025, Sorento is set to transfer to Malaysia’s Main Market, strengthening visibility and investor participation
