India: Somany Impresa Group has expanded its corporate venture capital activities through its investment arm, SIG Tattva, with a strategic investment of INR 60 million (USD 0.7 million/ EUR 0.65 million) in Mad Over Buildings, a fintech-enabled B2B ecommerce platform for building materials. This marks SIG Tattva’s second publicly announced investment since its formal launch in November last year. The group stated that the investment aligns with its broader objective of fostering innovation and accelerating digital transformation within India’s building materials sector.
Established in 1981, Somany Impresa Group operates across building products, consumer appliances, and packaging solutions. The latest investment is expected to support the group’s efforts to enhance digital integration within its core businesses, including Hindware sanitaryware and AGI Greenpac’s glass packaging operations, by leveraging ecommerce and fintech technologies.
