Sharp and Amber Enterprises Partner to Manufacture ACs in India
INDIA: Sharp Business Systems India has entered into a strategic partnership with Amber Enterprises India to locally manufacture air conditioners, marking a significant step in expanding its presence in India’s rapidly growing cooling market. Production is set to begin in March 2026 at Amber’s facilities in Dehradun and Sri City, with plans to scale output to around 500,000 units over the next three years.
The collaboration combines Sharp’s advanced Japanese engineering and proprietary air purification technology with Amber’s strong manufacturing capabilities and established supply chain network.
Through this partnership, Sharp aims to strengthen product availability, expand its distribution footprint, and capture a 2–3% share of India’s air conditioner market, which continues to grow rapidly across both metro and non-metro regions.
