Germany: The sanitary industry in Germany and Europe has expressed a more positive outlook for the months ahead, according to a recent survey conducted by the VDMA Sanitary Technology and Design Association. At the association’s third general meeting, 61 percent of surveyed companies described their current business situation as satisfactory. Notably, the survey reported no negative assessments of the business climate, a shift from previous surveys conducted in 2024. Looking ahead, 72 percent of respondents expect a rise in sales, while 11 percent forecast no significant change and 17 percent anticipate a slight decline.
Compared to November 2024, the results mark an improvement in sentiment within the sector. Thilo Pahl, Chairman of the VDMA Sanitary Technology and Design Association, stated that despite ongoing uncertainties, the industry continues to show resilience. He noted the importance of consistent and reliable political conditions to support further development and investment across the sanitary and plumbing technology sectors, expressing hope that the newly formed federal government will provide the necessary policy framework.
