South Korea: Samsung Electronics has operationalized its air conditioner production lines at its Gwangju plant at full capacity since February, in anticipation of increased demand during the upcoming summer season. The decision follows forecasts of a record heatwave by the South Korea Meteorological Administration and market response to its 2026 AI air conditioner models launched earlier this year. The company also conducted pre-season customer support activities, including an air conditioner check-up service offered last month.
The newly introduced product range includes two models: the stand-type Bespoke AI WindFree Combo Gallery Pro and the wall-mounted Bespoke AI WindFree Combo Pro Wall Mount. These models incorporate artificial intelligence technology designed to adjust cooling based on user patterns and room layout. The AI Motion Wind function detects user location and controls airflow direction and intensity, offering modes such as AI Direct and AI Indirect, along with Circulation, Long Distance, WindFree and Max modes. The wall-mounted model also includes an additional Up/Down mode, bringing the total number of airflow modes to seven.
