Roca Group to Establish Sanitaryware Manufacturing Hub in Kazakhstan

Spain/Kazakhstan: Roca Group has announced plans to invest EUR 70 million (USD 76 million) in constructing a large industrial complex in Kyzylorda, southern Kazakhstan, aimed at serving as its regional production hub for Central Asia. The site will include multiple facilities dedicated to producing bathroom products, including sanitaryware, faucets, and installation systems. The plant will have the capacity to manufacture around half a million units of sanitaryware annually and is expected to employ approximately 200 people, with part of the workforce receiving training at Roca’s European factories before returning to Kazakhstan.

The new complex will cater to both domestic demand and export markets, with up to 40 percent of production intended for neighbouring countries such as Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Azerbaijan. Roca also plans to source raw materials such as clays and kaolin locally where possible, while importing some materials from Europe and China. The project is part of Kazakhstan’s wider effort to attract investment into manufacturing sectors beyond oil and aligns with Roca’s strategy to expand its presence in growing Central Asian markets.
