Spain: Roca Group has acquired Australian tapware company Phoenix, a move aimed at strengthening its tapware division and expanding its presence in the Australian market. Founded in 1989, Phoenix operates in the mid-to-high-end segment of the tapware industry and has over three decades of experience in designing, assembling, and marketing bathroom and shower fittings. The company is headquartered in Melbourne and recorded a turnover of EUR 35.4 million in 2024. It operates two facilities in Melbourne and one in Balcatta, Perth, including a central warehouse in Bayswater and a showroom in Balcatta. Phoenix has built a strong presence in the market through its in-house design team, which is ranked first in Australia and Oceania by the iF Design Award, and has received international recognition such as the Red Dot Award and the Good Design Award.
With this acquisition, Roca Group consolidates its operations in Australia, where it is already active through its global brands Roca and Laufen. As part of its expansion strategy, the group is set to open a new Roca Gallery in Sydney by the end of the year, bringing the global total to eight, along with a dedicated Laufen Space to showcase its products.
