Remeha Opens Largest Dutch Heat Pump Factory

It is anticipated that the newly leased facility in Apeldoorn will build 50,000 hybrid heat pumps this year, with the capacity to increase output to 140,000 units starting in 2019. It will employ about 100 people in production.

The Dutch market receives the majority of sales attention, followed by Belgium and Germany. The Dutch Heat Pump Association (DHPA) anticipates an increase of 60% to 170,000 units in the Netherlands alone this year.

The company's hybrid heat pump, the Elga Ace, was formerly made in France. The move to the Netherlands is a component of the previously mentioned expansion ambitions for BDR Thermea.
