Regency Ceramics Acquires Segno Ceramics to Expand Production Capacity
India: Regency Ceramics has announced the takeover of Segno Ceramics Pvt Ltd, located in Bapatla, Andhra Pradesh. This all-cash deal will provide Regency with a 50-acre manufacturing facility on lease, increasing its production capacity by 3.6 million square meters annually. The company anticipates closing the acquisition within the next 6–12 months, allowing it a two-year timeline to complete the deal. The new facility will allow Regency to produce a range of premium products, including glazed and polished vitrified tiles. Satyendra Prasad Narala, Managing Director, stated that “the all-cash deal will strengthen Regency Ceramics’ market position, particularly in the South and East. This strategic move addresses our immediate production needs and enhances our market presence. We are focused on achieving a revenue target of INR 100 crore (USD 11.9 million) in the next calendar year. The new facility is closer to Chennai and Krishnapatnam, giving us a locational advantage.”
