Pavăl Holding Expands Abroad with Acquisition in Greece

Greece: Pavăl Holding, the parent company of Romanian DIY retailer Dedeman, has acquired Praktiker Hellas in Greece, marking its first international expansion. Praktiker Hellas operates 17 DIY stores and an online platform, offering around 50,000 products and employing approximately 1,200 people. The company is regarded as the market leader in the Greek DIY sector.
The deal also includes a preliminary agreement with Eurobank to acquire all currently leased properties; a move aimed at strengthening Praktiker Hellas’ long-term position in Greece. Pavăl Holding confirmed that the investment will be financed entirely through its own equity.
