Panasonic Vietnam Relaunches SANYO Air Conditioners for Mass Market Expansion

VIETNAM: Panasonic Corporation’s Vietnam unit has launched the SANYO air conditioner range in Vietnam, marking a strategic move to broaden its product portfolio and target more price-sensitive consumers. The relaunch brings SANYO back to the Vietnamese AC market under Panasonic’s direct management, combining SANYO’s legacy brand recognition with Panasonic’s technology, quality control, after-sales service, and nationwide distribution network.


SANYO, which first entered Vietnam in 1997 and expanded into air conditioners in 2008, will now focus on affordable cooling solutions aimed at younger and mainstream consumers. While Panasonic will continue to serve the premium segment with advanced features such as nanoeX technology, SANYO will target the mass market with simpler, reliable, and energy-efficient products. The launch reflects Panasonic’s dual-brand strategy and its long-term commitment to expanding in Vietnam’s growing air conditioning market.
