Oras Group to Acquire Villeroy & Boch’s Gustavsberg and Vatette Businesses

Europe: Villeroy & Boch Group and Finnish sanitary fittings manufacturer Oras Group have announced an agreement for Oras Group to acquire Villeroy & Boch’s Northern European businesses, Gustavsberg and Vatette.

The transaction covers both brands and all related operations in Northern Europe, including the production facility and warehouse in Sweden. Upon closing, approximately 330 employees from Gustavsberg and Vatette will transition to Oras Group.

This acquisition marks a significant strategic step for both parties. For Oras Group, the deal enhances its position as a leading supplier of sanitary fittings in Northern Europe while supporting its strategic expansion into a full-service bathroom supplier, with offerings spanning bathroom furniture and faucets. For Villeroy & Boch Group, the sale aligns with its strategy to streamline operations and concentrate on its two global brands, Villeroy & Boch and Ideal Standard, with a focus on driving growth in its core categories, sanitary ceramics, fittings, and showering solutions, across key markets and distribution channels.
