Morbi's Ceramic Industry Faces Export Decline in 2025 Amid Global Trade Wars

India: Morbi, a prominent hub for ceramic tile manufacturing, is experiencing a downturn in exports due to several international trade challenges. Countries such as Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Taiwan have imposed anti-dumping duties on ceramic products from Morbi, ranging between 50% and 106%. The United States is also considering similar measures, leading to a reduction in orders from American buyers. Vinod Ambani, a ceramics exporter from Morbi, noted that exports to the U.S. have decreased as a result of these developments. These trade barriers have significantly impacted the export volumes of Morbi's ceramic tiles, posing challenges for the industry's growth and sustainability.
