Kentucky(USA): Mitsubishi Electric US (MEUS) is investing $143.5 million to repurpose a manufacturing facility in Maysville, Kentucky, to produce advanced heat pump compressors, creating 122 new full-time jobs. This project is the largest in Mason County in 20 years and marks Mitsubishi Electric's first U.S. factory for twin-rotary variable capacity compressors. The facility will help meet the growing demand for efficient heat pump systems, reduce carbon emissions, and align with Mitsubishi Electric's goal of net-zero factories by 2030

In November 2023, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) announced $169 million in funding for nine projects aimed at boosting U.S. heat pump manufacturing capabilities at 15 locations nationwide. Among these, this project has been selected for a $50 million grant, pending final approval.
