Canada: Maritime Geothermal Ltd. has received CAD 1.64 million (USD 1.21 million/EUR 1.12 million) in funding from the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) to support the expansion of its heat pump manufacturing operations in Petitcodiac, New Brunswick. The company said the investment will be used to scale production capacity and improve manufacturing processes for its geothermal and air-source heat pump range.
The funding will support a 15,000-square-foot facility expansion, increasing the company’s total manufacturing footprint to 45,000 square feet. Maritime Geothermal stated that the additional space will be used for new equipment and assembly lines, with the aim of supporting domestic supply chains for housing construction and heat pump deployment in Canada.
