FRANCE: With no budget approved, the MaPrimeRénov’ application window will be suspended nationwide from January 1, 2026, Vincent Jeanbrun has announced. The Minister of Housing confirmed that, in the absence of a parliamentary budget, the State is unable to commit to any new spending. This suspension further prolongs uncertainty around the scheme and adds to the concerns of an already strained sector.

The construction industry is therefore starting the year under difficult conditions. From January 1, no new MaPrimeRénov’ applications can be filed due to the lack of a 2026 budget. The government is currently operating under a special continuity law, which does not allow for the launch or funding of support schemes.

Summarising the situation plainly, Vincent Jeanbrun stated: “No budget, no window.” Applications submitted before the end of 2025 should, in principle, continue to be processed, subject to the availability of remaining funds. However, all new renovation projects are effectively on hold until a budget is adopted. For construction professionals, this represents another setback, deepening the lack of visibility in a sector where MaPrimeRénov’ remains a key driver of energy renovation activity.

In anticipation of clearer prospects ahead, the editorial team at L’Installateur extends its best wishes for the holiday season.
