Lloyd Expands AC Production Capacity to 3 Million Units Annually

India: Lloyd, a brand owned by Havells India, has expanded its annual air conditioner production capacity to 3 million units across its manufacturing facilities in Ghiloth, Rajasthan, and Sri City, Andhra Pradesh. The expansion, which involved an investment of INR 50–60 crore (approximately USD 6–7 million), is part of the company’s strategy to meet rising market demand. The Ghiloth plant’s capacity has increased from 900,000 to 1.5 million units per year, while the Sri City plant’s capacity has also grown from 1.12 million to 1.5 million units. Alongside this development, Lloyd introduced a new premium product line named the Lloyd Luxuria Collection, aimed at addressing the growing preference for high-end cooling solutions. 

Commenting on the launch of the Lloyd Luxuria Collection, Yogesh Kumar Gupta, Executive Director of Havells India Ltd., stated, “Lloyd has always led the way in innovation, and the success of last year’s product range helped solidify our presence in the premium air conditioning market. The introduction of the Luxuria collection builds on this success, addressing the increasing demand for thoughtfully designed cooling solutions. Luxury in air conditioning is not just about high-end features but creating a full, immersive experience.”

In addition to air conditioners, the company has expanded its portfolio of premium appliances, which now includes the KOLOR Refrigerator, Mini LED TV, and Novante Washing Machine.
