Germany: Sanitary manufacturer Kludi is restructuring its international production network, resulting in job cuts at its headquarters in Menden, although the company did not disclose the number of positions affected. Employees have been informed and discussions with the works council and union have started. Management cited increased economic and political cost pressures as the reason for the move, following earlier restructuring measures announced in late 2024, when the company employed about 700 people globally, including 300 in Germany.
As part of the restructuring, Kludi is expanding its facilities in Menden and Ras Al Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates into specialised production centres. The Menden site will focus on development, logistics and plastics technologies, while metal production will be expanded in Ras Al Khaimah to serve Middle East markets. The company also plans continued investment in automation and digitalisation to improve production efficiency.
