KCC Manufacturing and Transaera Partner to Scale U.S. Production of MOF-Based Outdoor Air Systems
U.S.: KCC Manufacturing and Transaera have announced a manufacturing and engineering partnership to scale U.S. production of Transaera’s dedicated outdoor air systems, which use metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) to remove moisture before cooling. KCC will manufacture the cabinets, support Transaera’s proprietary controls, provide systems-design integration and supply domestic production capacity, with multiple units already built and additional units in production. Transaera reports 40% energy savings versus conventional packaged DX-only systems and more than 2x the current federal minimum efficiency standard for moisture removal. The partnership follows Transaera’s May 2026 multi-year collaboration with Amazon to expand deployment of its high-efficiency heat-pump technology after a six-month field trial at an Amazon logistics facility.
