Germany: German bathroom manufacturer Kaldewei has introduced a circular economy initiative in partnership with the 25hours Hotel Bikini Berlin. As part of a pilot project, the company has refurbished and reinstalled previously used shower surfaces and bathtubs, aiming to demonstrate the potential of large-scale upcycling within the hospitality and construction sectors.
The products, originally installed more than a decade ago, were dismantled during the hotel’s recent renovation and returned to Kaldewei for restoration through a multi-stage process. The refurbished units have now been reinstalled and upgraded with the Secure Plus anti-slip enamel surface.
