Johnson Tiles to Close UK Manufacturing Facilities
UK: As a result of a management buyout of a tiling company located in Stoke-on-Trent, the new owners intend to shut down the production facility, which will result in the loss of more than one hundred employment.
It was decided to sell Johnson Tiles, a subsidiary of Norcros, to its UK management team, which included managing director Stephen Dixon, commercial director Rich Kelsall, and procurement director Jason Bridges. The transaction was completed for a sum of one million pounds.
In light of the fact that the new owners intend to transition to an exclusively outsourced business model, the employees of Johnson Tiles are currently being surveyed about the possibility of the manufacturing facility in Tunstall being shut down, which could effect as many as 105 positions in the production department.
