China: JD announced that its first JD MALL store in Hong Kong will officially open in Wan Chai on June 18. The 30,000-square-foot store will offer large and small home appliances, mobile digital products, and newer categories such as smart bathroom products, massage equipment, and whole-home cleaning appliances, operating under a “local sourcing, local sales” model. As part of its Hong Kong expansion strategy, JD MALL plans to open 6–8 stores across the city within the next three years, focusing on prime districts including Sha Tin, Mong Kok, and Tuen Mun. Supporting the expansion, JD Logistics highlighted its service capabilities in Hong Kong, including delivery in as fast as four hours, pickup and delivery services until 10 p.m., next-day delivery to Hong Kong and Macau, and cross-border shipping across Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau.
