Italy to Supply Industrial Boilers to Heat Ukraine After Energy Strikes

Ukraine: Ukraine is set to receive heating equipment from Italy in the coming days to support regions affected by recent strikes on energy infrastructure, according to Kyrylo Budanov. He stated that the delivery forms part of international assistance aimed at stabilising the country’s energy situation following large-scale attacks. The support follows agreements reached between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
Under the first phase of assistance, Italy is supplying 78 industrial boilers with a combined capacity of 116.5 megawatts for deployment in areas experiencing repeated damage to critical infrastructure. A second phase is planned over the next 6 months, during which Ukraine is expected to receive more than 300 additional boilers with a total capacity of 806 megawatts. The equipment is to be allocated to communities most affected by shelling, as disruptions to heating and power supplies continue during the winter period.
