Schneider Electric lines up $384 M investment to make India a manufacturing hub

INDIA: Schneider Electric, a leader in energy management and automation, has set aside $384 Million in investments by 2026 to establish India as a manufacturing powerhouse. As part of this plan, the business invested $12 Million to open a facility on March 21, 2024, Bengaluru, Karnataka, that will provide cooling solutions for data centres. The area of the new factory is roughly 6.5 acres. India will become the Group's manufacturing hub thanks to the investment, which will also boost exports and local sales. In keeping with this, the business plans to establish production sites for its range of goods and services throughout India. Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Uttarakhand, and Odisha are among the states where the corporation is establishing factories. The primary objective of this cooling solutions factory is to create cutting-edge cooling solutions that will benefit and enhance the nation's data centre ecosystem. The company currently operates 30 facilities, including the new cooling solutions factory, throughout India. The business is currently working to establish a number of sites throughout India.
