India’s Luxury Housing Boom Drives Surge in Demand for Premium Home Products

India: India’s luxury real estate sector is witnessing significant growth, creating demand across allied industries such as kitchenware, bath fittings, tiles, furniture and interiors. The rising number of affluent buyers investing in high-value residences has led to increased spending on premium home products and solutions.
Swapneel Nagarkar, business head and executive vice-president, Interio by Godrej, said the surge in luxury housing has generated strong demand for its furniture solutions. He noted that customers purchasing homes in the range of INR 3–5 crore (USD 360,000–600,000) are seeking products that align with their lifestyle expectations. According to him, buyers are increasingly requesting integrated solutions rather than individual items, where the overall design works cohesively from the outset.
