IKEA Industry Goleniów Announces Workforce Reductions

Poland: IKEA Industry has announced plans to reduce its workforce at its Goleniów facility in Poland, with around 160 employees potentially affected. The Goleniów District Labor Office has confirmed receipt of formal notification regarding the layoffs. Reports indicate that some local companies are already approaching affected workers with potential employment opportunities.

The Goleniów plant, which employs approximately 570 to 580 workers, manufactures pine furniture including products from the HEMNES and IDANAS ranges. The planned reductions will impact on both administrative and production staff. The announcement follows earlier workforce reductions in the sector, including layoffs at ZORKA, where 132 employees were notified in January 2026, with further reductions expected by mid-year.
