Houston Astros and Daikin Announce 15-Year Naming Rights Deal for Daikin Park
USA: The Houston Astros and Daikin Comfort Technologies North America have signed a 15-year exclusive naming-rights agreement, renaming the Astros' downtown Houston stadium as Daikin Park starting January 1, 2025, through the 2039 season. This partnership includes official naming rights, community initiatives, and various partnership benefits aimed at supporting the Greater Houston area. Daikin, a global leader in indoor comfort solutions, operates the largest HVAC manufacturing facility in North America, the 4.2-million-square-foot Daikin Texas Technology Park in Waller, Texas, providing approximately 10,000 jobs locally. With over 98,000 employees worldwide and 22,000 in the U.S., Daikin has invested over $1 billion in the Houston area, including $500 million in building the technology park. Their commitment to the community extends to initiatives like a recent partnership with the City of Houston to upgrade low-to-moderate-income homes with energy-efficient air conditioning and heating solutions.
This partnership allows the Astros to invest further in stadium enhancements, improving the fan experience while maintaining deep community connections. Daikin’s extensive history, innovative solutions, and investment in the Houston region align with the Astros’ vision of community support and excellence. The partnership also builds Daikin’s global visibility among Major League Baseball audiences, coinciding with its 100th anniversary. Minute Maid, the stadium's previous naming rights partner since 2002, will continue its relationship with the Astros as a sponsor through 2029. This agreement underscores a shared commitment between Daikin and the Astros to foster growth, sustainability, and community engagement in the Houston region.
